JENIRIS GONZALEZ, Berklee
Jeniris is a Puerto Rican vocalist, pianist, flutist, and percussionist. She studied traditional and folk music at the University of Puerto Rico for three years prior to Berklee College of Music. A Student Ambassador and Outstanding Scholar at Berklee, she is now president of the Music Therapy Club, and she recently completed her work with special needs children at the Franciscan Hospital for Children in Allston, MA. She is a freelance voice instructor and a voice/music theory mentor for the Berklee City Music Mentoring Program. Mastering English, Spanish, Italian, and SIgn Language, Jeniris is a Music Therapy and Vocal Performance dual major. She is currently the lead singer and keyboardist of the local blues/soul-funk Captain Wolf Band, and is organizing her plans to open music therapy clinics in various countries including Italy, Australia, Spain, and her native Puerto Rico.
