RANJANA SRINIVANSAN, Berklee
Ranjana Srinivasan is a seventh semester student at Berklee College of Music. Her principal instrument is voice but she is proficient on guitar as well as piano. This summer she will be participating in her last practicum in Medical Settings. Ranjana has been a counselor for a day camp with children ages four to seven in which she lead many musical and artistic activities. For the last year she has also been mentoring two young girls (ages 12 and 15), one with a severe eating disorder, by giving them support through music as well as conversation. Ranjana also worked with children ages three to five with developmental delays at the Medical Day Care in Boston using call and response, turn taking, and rhythm imitation. Her future goal is to complete medical school in order to become a child psychiatrist and use music therapy within her practice. Ranjana has studied Spanish for three years. She has an energetic and loving personality, and is passionate about learning and helping others with music.
